Dena Lamarque has been a California resident most of her life. Her family immigrated from Mexico when she was a year old. She obtained her Associates in Arts in Business Administration at Pasadena City College, and more recently obtained her bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of La Verne. She has 20 years’ experience working in various municipalities and worked at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Garden in Claremont and the Claremont Graduate School, Botany Department.
