Free workshops

Date and Time

September 14 – 9:00 am | September 14 – 12:00 pm

Description

Discover how to properly water your waterwise or California native plants, keeping them healthy, beautiful, and long lived.

While waterwise or California native plants do not need a lot of water, proper irrigation practices are still critical for establishing plants in the ground and keeping them healthy, beautiful, and long lived. Watering too much can be just as problematic as watering too little, and often people are unsure of how to “do it right.”

If this is you, know that you are not alone!

In this workshop we will cover:

· How much and how often native or waterwise plants in our area want to be watered

· A walk and talk in our demonstration garden featuring our favorite irrigation system designs and products for hand watering, drip, or high-efficiency sprinkler systems plus recommendations for when to consider each option

· Guidelines for how long to run each of these watering options to follow our recommendations

· Troubleshooting issues including diagnosing whether plants are getting too much or too little water

· Links to in-depth youtube videos showing how to install our recommended drip or high efficiency spray irrigation systems
