November 3, 2026 General Election
The Chino Basin Water Conservation District is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors. Each Board Member serves one of seven divisions, which are reapportioned every ten years after the national census to represent constituents throughout our six-city service area. The District is a regional agency that serves all or part of the cities or Chino, Chino Hills, Montclair, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, and Upland, as well as some unincorporated areas, which all overlay the Chino Groundwater Basin, one of the largest aquifers in Southern California and a major source of water for our residents.

Three Division seats are up for election on November 3, 2026:
Division 1 – Parts of Upland and Montclair
Division 3 – Historic North Ontario
Division 7 – Parts of Chino and Chino Hills
All Board Members must live in the division they represent. All candidates must pull papers with the County of San Bernardino Registrar of Voters at their offices in the City of San Bernardino. The window to pull papers to appear on the 2026 ballot is Monday, July 13, 2026 – Friday, August 7, 2026.

Qualifications for Candidacy
– A registered voter at their current residence in the Chino Basin Water Conservation District service area and residing in the Division in which they are running. – A citizen of the United States of America. – 18 years of age or older. – Not disqualified from holding an elected office by the Constitution or laws of the State of California.Nomination Process and Filing Requirements
To become a candidate, you must first be issued Nomination papers by the County of San Bernardino Registrar of Voters Office. The Nomination Papers filing period will begin on Monday, July 13, 2026, and will close on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. You can obtain Nomination papers from the County of San Bernardino Registrar of Voters Office. All Nomination papers must be returned and filed with the County of San Bernardino Registrar of Voters Office. The Chino Basin Water Conservation District WILL NOT accept the completed Nomination papers. Nomination papers could include materials such as the Nomination papers packet, Candidates Informational Guides, local regulations for political campaigns, and any other related documents necessary to the candidate.
